An interview conducted by Farah Rafik with Mona Abadir. Mona Abadir endured a hard life. As a single mother, she was required to raise her two children alone, in a community that constantly doubted her. She took every challenge in a positive manner. With no money and help from anyone, she was able to raise a Doctor. Her daughter is a doctor but she originally wanted to study Literature; however, Mona wanted her to graduate from medical school to prove everyone else wrong. There was no room for personal freedom at that time.
